Field Trip - Daniel Stowe Conservancy - Holidays at the Gardens

Looking for some holiday magic? We’ve found the spot: Daniel Stowe Conservancy - specifically their Holidays at the Garden Exhibit!

We live very close by to Daniel Stowe Conservancy and we heard that they have a really popular light show, so we decided to see what all the fuss was about. We went on a Sunday, it was super busy with workers directing traffic and parking, with much overflow parking. We didn’t know what to expect going in, we’ve only been once before during the day, so we were basically going in blind, and I’m glad we did!

The entrance was adorned with sparkling lights and signs, it was so pretty. However, it was NOTHING compared to what was in store.

Upon entering you’re greeted with this stunning orchid tree where you could take the most perfect pictures in front of!

You could even scan the QR code to dedicate an orchid to a loved one, how sweet.

Here’s a closer look at the orchid tree - I mean come on!

The lights differed in shapes, sizes, colors, intensities, and some even had interactive elements. For example, the round lights you see on the left had buttons you could press to change the colors. At the entrance to garden area they had lights synchronized to the music that was playing - so magical!

You got to go inside the warm and cozy greenhouse as well! They had a variety of floral art statues and sculptures like you see in the image on the right.

The pictures I captured don’t do it justice to how beautiful and magical it is.

If you get cold, which you will, they have huge fire pits stationed around the gardens and stands that sell hot cider, hot chocolate, snacks, and more!

They also have the Prairie Castle Playground, which you can see pictured in the second photo. It’s lit up and has plenty of space for the kids to run, climb, and have all the fun!

They even had a cute little fairy garden set up, which you can see in the third image :) It really brings the magic to life.

I highly recommend visiting here this holiday season. This is their last week open, so grab tickets while you can!
