Field Trip - Knob Creek Farms & Creamery
Lately I’ve been wanting some farm fresh peaches - but I wanted them from the kind of place where you can see them hanging on the trees and buy them in the same spot. I made the trek out to one of my favorite farms to get some and decided to take you along! Of course while I was there, I bought more than just peaches. Keep reading to learn all that Knob Creek Farms in Toluca, NC has to offer.
Knob Creek is located on Hwy 18 in Toluca, NC. If you’re not familiar with the area, that’s upper Cleveland county. Somewhere between Casar, Lawndale, and Belwood.
There is a farm stand shed outside that houses all of Knob Creek’s home grown produce. Seasonally, they grow their own strawberries, peaches, blueberries, and blackberries. There are other offerings under here too like tomatoes, cantaloupes, honey, ciders, etc. (My peaches are DELICIOUS by the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Now, let’s head inside of the gift shop. It’s a hidden gem for sure! They have a huge selection of home décor to shop, as well as a large kid’s section too. Then of course there are your typical gift shop finds like t-shirts and merch as well.
Perhaps my favorite part of the whole place is the café in the back of the store. It’s full of homemade ice cream and baked goods. When you walk in it smells like a fresh, hot waffle cone.
Their ice cream flavors do change periodically. They have a strawberry chocolate flake that is to die for and also an espresso flake that is incredible. Our picks today were Ambrosia, Peach, Blackberry, and Banana Pudding. Cannot recommend the Ambrosia enough!
In the cafe they also serve homemade cobblers and peach dumplings. There are hand pies, brownies, fudge, and cookies for sale too.
Maybe you’re wondering if there’s room to sit and enjoy all these sweet treats….. OH YES. In addition to the air conditioned café seating inside, outside offers swings, rockers, benches, and picnic tables. Come spend all day enjoying the views of the mountains. There is room for the kids to run around and a playground as well!

Not much further up the road from Knob Creek & Red Bone Willy’s is South Mountain State Park! Make a day of it and go hiking or to the creek!!!!!
