Layered Mexican Dip
Happy Cinco De Mayo!!!
This year, we decided to celebrate the Pure & Simple way…with an easy recipe at home! This 6 layer dip takes hardly any time to put together, while not lacking in flavor!
You only need 7 ingredients:
-9 oz bean dip
-6 oz guacamole
-12 oz sour cream
-1 oz taco seasoning
-8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
-1 jalapeno, seeded and diced
-1 tomato, chopped
I used an 8x8 glass dish to prepare mine in. You could always use a clear dish to see the layers, if you prefer!
The first step is to spread your beans into the bottom of your dish. My favorite are these jalapeno ones from IGA!
For step 2, do likewise with your guacamole!
For step 3, I combined my taco seasoning directly into my sour cream and stirred well. I made my own taco seasoning for this step, but you could always use a premixed store bought packet. Recipe to mix your own taco seasoning can be found below.
Step 4: Sprinkle sprinkle SPRINKLE that cheese!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then add your diced tomato on top.
Step 5: Seed and slice your jalapeno and add it to the top!
That’s literally it! It’s as simple as that. We used our favorite tortilla chips to scoop it up with, but you could use whatever you like! Get creative!
In my house, this got eaten QUICK! It’s so tasty. I am sure that you and your family will love it, too!
Below is the link to the exact recipe I followed if you want to check it out.
Looking for a festive way to serve this dish? Consider adding some bright dinnerware! Here are a few options I found that I am loving…
We love Fiesta Ware…and it comes in many different colors!
