Budget Friendly Father’s Day Gift
Let’s be honest…men are hard to shop for. If you’re like me, you can think of a million gifts to buy for your mom, sister, or girl friend. When it comes to the men in our lives, it doesn’t seem to be that easy. I have put together a gift for this Father’s Day that is simple and customizable, and that every man is sure to actually love!
I started by visiting one of my favorite friends….the good old Dollar Tree. Dollar Tree has really stepped up their game recently! They carry so many dupes of popular brand name products now! They currently have out these tool boxes for $1.25! This will be our container for our gift. RUN and get these because I am sure they are going to sell out.
Now comes the time for you to get creative and tailor your picks for inside of the tool box based off the man it’s for. Above are a few examples of some non food related items you could use. Other options could be actual tools (which DT has tons of), things from the automotive section, socks, other personal care items, etc.
You could always make it a full blown snacklebox! Dollar Tree has two aisles full of snacks and food. Pick dad’s favorites and add them in!
Now that all of the goods have been procured, it’s time to assemble! Add some tissue paper or basket filler to the inside of the box.
Then arrange your items inside. This is my husband’s first Father’s Day! I grabbed him a root beer, hot peppers, licorice, chocolate covered pretzels, and tiger balm - all things he loves! This diy gift would be so fun for a kid to put together for dad!
Add a bow or a gift tag to the outside of the box. Get creative! I made my tag on Canva. You could have your child color one themselves or there a some great ones on Etsy!
It’s that simple. I spent less than $8 on this entire gift. It turns out gift giving for men doesn’t have to be that hard! A huge shout out to Dollar Tree for always having the best things in store!
