Field Trip - Guernsey Girl Creamery

We stumbled across the cutest little place tucked away in Shelby, North Carolina. Guernsey Girl Creamery is a roadside farm stand that offers their animal products and produce by way of an honor system. They also serve amazing ice cream! To find out more about this hidden gem, keep reading!

Located at 3361 Bridges Dairy Road, you’ll find a small family run dairy farm. You can see all their cows (yes even the calves!!!), which the kids are sure to love.

Over to your right you’ll see the farm stand. They accept Venmo, or exact change can be placed in a jar under the shed.

Their offerings here change daily. Items are constantly restocked and replenished. You could buy a 6 pack of vegetable plants, fresh produce, canned goods, and honey. They have a scale to weigh your produce so you know how much to pay and bags to put your purchases in.

Also under the shed there are two refrigerators/freezers. Inside of these are breads, cheese curds, yogurts, milks, eggs, ice creams, baked goods, and more produce.

Over to your left you will see my personal favorite part of the operation…..THE ICE CREAM WINDOW!

I ordered the peanut butter chocolate which was incredible. I’ve also tried the cheesecake and mint flavors. Guernsey Girl’s ice cream is home made using milk from their cows.

Can’t you just taste it?

There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy, like these picnic tables or the bench and chair set under the ice cream area.
