How to Host a Derby Party on a Budget
How many times have you thought about hosting a Derby party? I must admit that I have considered it plenty even though I know nothing about horse racing.
If you are wanting to host a party but on a budget, then let’s talk about the elements to look for while out thrifting.
We currently have several derby related items at our Shelby estate sale, so lets start there with some inspiration.
Color Scheme: Green, Pink, Yellow
Horses (obviously)
Silver & Roses
Fill the buckets with ice and use to serve canned drinks. Or as a vessel for gorgeous roses!
Glassware
Look for Derby cups, coupe glasses, and other beautiful stemware! Don’t forget to look for classic mint julep cups as well!
And don’t forget to look for hats and other items appropriate for the occassion!
